OMG 100 POUNDS IS AWESOME-I also love Kickboxing and Dance Dance Revolution. I decided to buy a charm bracelet and a charm for every 20 pounds I lose. I have to lose 140-3 more til I get my first charm. Kelley

October 22 Half-marathon!! We ran our half-marathon October 11th, in beautiful fall weather in Ashland, WI. We did great. I really owe Ashley for pushing me so hard. I never would have had a time like that without her. It was so much fun. Hopefully in the next month I can refresh our goals, our pics and spice up the page a little! Molly August 12 From AshleySo its been a crazy long time since I've written anything on here, but I just got back from doing research down in Texas and am ready to get back into the swing of things. I'm not sure exactly how much I weighed before I left, but after a summer of walking a ridiculous amount in the desert every day all summer long, I am down to 143 as of this morning...so 110 lbs down all together over the past year and a half! Now the trick will be to hold onto that weight loss as the fall progresses (and I have to sit around in my office for hours on end) but I think that my eating habits are on track and with the training for the half marathon that Molly has been talking about, I totally think that its doable. The one thing that I have been struggling with is how to be satisfied with the accomplishments. I am the type of person that really needs to be working towards a goal, so I think the body fat analyzer that Molly has been talking about may be a good next step for me, so I can have something to focus on other than the scale. Other than that nothing new is up here....but I cant wait for the race, and I totally feel like its going to feel like a huge accomplishment for both Molly and I after all of the hard work we've put in. Good luck everyone else on your weight loss goals! You can do it! August 11 from molly Today I got an Omron Body Fat Monitor to set a new goal based on my body fat percentage. For the next few weeks I'll watch it to see how much it'll move every few days, probably end up taking a reading every week. I didn't take the reading at the right time according to the manual today, but I doubt it's very far off. It said 24% body fat, which I think is pretty close, so I'll aim for maybe 15 percent. I'm sure that'll take me quite a while to accomplish. Nothing official yet. Plus, we're running a half-marathon in October, so eight weeks away. My newest plan for the next 8 weeks I plan on working my way up to begin the hundred push-up challenge, begin the hundred push-up challenge, and work up my running endurance. I'm excited about getting ready. I hope the next few weeks go fast and then the trip to Ashland for the half-marathon goes super slow, because I won't want it to end!!! July 29 from Molly, lots to tell & little time to tell it So, this morning I hit an important goal mark- 153 pounds even, which officially puts me in the 'normal weight range' according to my BMI. That's 47 pounds lost, and is a great new starting place for continuing, and the result of almost exactly 7 months of hard work. In addition to that, Ashley and I, barring catastrophe, are participating in a half-marathon in Ashland, WI in October and I feel it is our victory lap. We may not be able to run the whole thing, but I think it's completion will exemplify our will to fight the weight we've had and our dedication to being healthy beautiful ladies! I'm just absolutely thrilled. I am so happy about hitting my weight goal that I'm a little paralyzed. This is where it is first reported to anyone besides my boyfriend, and I want to tell the world, but I don't even know where to start. I wish I knew everyone read this, but I don't think many people do. Anyways, I'm super proud of myself, and I hope everyone has a chance to reach this kind of benchmark for themselves, weight-related or not! May 10 10k run, from molly I did a 10k run this morning. whew. I can't quite run a 5k yet, but I thought I'd get 2 5ks for the price of one. my left foot i think is going to have a decent blister on the heel, but i feel good. I'm one pound shy of losing 40 since we started this in January. that's been slow, but for the most part i think i'm pretty patient, as long as the overall trend over the next few months is a downward one. hope everyone who is still out there working out is going strong!
